Partner Showcase: MVP Whitetails

One of the great things about hunting is the people you meet along the way. Time outdoors, respect for the animals and a shared passion for quality hunting often turn clients into friends. For this Partner Showcase, we spoke with Jade and Jalen Webster from MVP Whitetails, a family-run Texas operation known for high quality whitetail trophies and genuine hospitality.

A Family-Run Whitetail Operation

‍

MVP Whitetails was founded from a shared love of hunting and whitetail deer. From the beginning, their focus has been on building some of the best deer genetics in the country, raising high-quality bucks and giving every client the best service possible. For the MVP team, hunting has always been a family experience. That same approach carries through to the ranch today, where trophy quality, long-term herd management, great facilities and genuine hospitality all play an important role.

‍

As outfitters themselves, they understand what separates a good hunting operation from a great one. They know the standard required to deliver a quality hunt. More importantly, they understand the value of making people feel like part of the ranch.

Tell us who you are and a bit about yourself

‍

We are a family run business and we have all been hunting together as a family since all of the kids were little. Anytime we hunted together as a family it was always some of the best memories we would have together as a family and that keeps us doing it.

‍

How did MVP Whitetails begin, and what was your original vision?

‍

MVP Whitetails got started from our love for hunting/whitetail deer. The vision for the operation was having the best deer genetics in the country to provide to customers as well as to grow the biggest prettiest bucks, and give the best customer service possible.

‍

How important is long-term herd management to MVP's genetics and trophy quality?

‍

Long term herd management is very important, we want to maintain/grow upon what we have built for many years to come.

‍

What makes a great Texas whitetail hunt?

‍

5 star lodging/facilities/food, exceptional trophies, and great customer service.

‍

As outfitters, what separates a good hunting operation from a great one?

‍

A big thing is obviously having the lodging animals etc, but I think being able to make your customers feel like family is something that matters a lot.

‍

What do you want hunters to remember about MVP?

‍

I want them to feel like they are a part of our ranch.

‍

Having hunted with Venator twice in New Zealand and once in the USA, what keeps you coming back?

‍

We have developed a great relationship with Duncan, his family and his team and are very thankful for that. Venator has the most impressive stags, lodging and service. The hunting properties and the whole experience in both NZ and Oklahoma are special.

‍

What stood out about the hunting and experience at each Venator destination?

‍

Being in New Zealand is super special; the properties and animals are incredible to see there. It is some of the most beautiful land I have ever seen! Oklahoma being so convenient in the US stood out how nice that land and the animals are as well.

‍

As outfitters yourselves, do you view other hunting operations differently? What do you notice?

‍

I do look at them differently, things I notice is transparency with the customer as well as trophy quality, lodging/service and cleanliness/organization.

‍

What makes an outfitter someone you'd recommend to clients, friends and family?

‍

If we feel that the place is somewhere we want to return year after year.

‍

What's next for MVP Whitetails, and what excites you most about the future?

‍

We are going to continue raising the best animals we can and have the best hunting operation we can.

‍

MVP Whitetails represents the kind of operation we admire: family-run, focused on quality and committed to making hunters feel genuinely welcomed. As both Venator clients and fellow outfitters, they understand the work that goes into running a world-class hunting operation, and they know the details that bring people back year after year.We are proud to count the MVP team as clients, friends and partners, and we look forward to welcoming them back to Venator again.

The Origins of New Zealand Tahr Hunting

The Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus) stands as one of New Zealand’s most iconic alpine game animals. Renowned for their thick, flaxen manes, agile nature, and affinity for sheer vertical rock faces, hunting a Bull Tahr in the Southern Alps offers one of the most physically demanding, rewarding pursuits in the Southern Hemisphere. Navigating rugged high-country bluffs, executing precision shots across deep ravines, and enduring the crisp alpine elements leave a lasting impression on every sportsman.

Venator x Johann Fanzoj

Last year, we had the pleasure of partnering with Johann Fanzoj to create a custom Classic M98 built around the legendary Mauser 98 action.
