Commonly found across the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Southeastern Spanish Ibex is smaller and lighter in colour than its ibex relatives. Although smaller in body mass, there are rare sightings of larger males, making them a prized trophy for serious hunters.
The Males’ horn structure is thick and long with an impressive backward curve forming a circle with the tips growing back towards the neck, horns forming a circle with the tips growing toward the neck like those of a Mouflon. The keel is smooth, making the horns almost round in cross-section.
